This Privacy Policy explains how Alaya Pte. Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “Viewspaper”), a company in Singapore, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Viewspaper at https://www.viewspaper.app (the “Service”).
Viewspaper helps you stay informed by turning creator channels, news, and related content into structured reading, daily highlights, and insights (including Sprint, Pulse, and Edge).

1. Information we collect
Account and identity. When you create an account or log in, we collect your email address and authentication data. If you sign up with email and password, your password is stored in hashed form by our authentication provider (we do not store your password in readable form).
If you use Continue with Google, we use Google only to identify you. Google provides your name, email address, and profile photo (and a related Google account identifier) so we can create or sign you into a Viewspaper account. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or private YouTube account. We do not sell that Google user data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Profile and preferences. Information you choose in the Service, such as channels you follow, Pulse topics and delivery time, narration voice, subscription status, and optional “About you” answers (for example sex, age or prefer not to say, interests, and regions).
Content you ask us to process. Public channel URLs you add and the transcripts, summaries, news results, and insight data generated to provide Sprint, Pulse, and Edge.
Payments. If you subscribe, our payments processor collects payment details. We receive identifiers and events needed to run your subscription (such as customer ID, plan, status, and invoice or payment success/failure). We do not store your full card number.
Partners. If you apply to the partner program, we collect business contact details (name, address, phone). If you arrive through a partner link or QR code, we may store a short-lived referral code in a cookie (vp_partner_ref, up to 30 days) and record that a scan occurred (including limited technical data such as browser type and country).
Device and technical data. Cookies and similar technologies needed to keep you logged in, optional Web Push notification data if you enable notifications (including a push endpoint and timezone), and standard server logs used to operate and secure the Service (such as IP address, timestamps, and error information).
We do not require you to upload YouTube cookies or similar session files.
2. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Create and authenticate your account, including Google sign-in
- Send transactional email (for example signup confirmation and password reset)
- Process subscriptions and show billing status
- Attribute partner referrals and operate the partner program
- Personalize the Service using preferences you provide
- Detect abuse, debug issues, and keep the Service secure
- Comply with law
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Cookies
We use:
- Essential cookies so you can sign in and stay signed in
- Partner referral cookie (
vp_partner_ref) if you used a partner link or QR code (up to 30 days) - Web Push storage on your device if you turn on notifications
You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login from working.
4. Service providers
We share information with companies that help us run Viewspaper, only as needed for that purpose. That includes:
- Authentication and account storage
- Website and application hosting
- Google, for Sign in with Google (identity only) and related Google services we use to operate features of the Service
- Stripe, for payments and the billing portal
- Text-to-speech for optional narration of summaries you choose to play
- Other processors that generate summaries or insights from public content you ask us to process
We do not share your data with these providers for their own advertising.
Instagram or similar social publishing, if used, is for Viewspaper’s own marketing and is separate from Continue with Google.
5. Google user data and Limited Use
Viewspaper uses Google only to identify you (name, email, and profile photo) and to create or sign in to a Viewspaper account. We do not sell that data or use it for ads.
Our use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google Sign-In for Viewspaper is limited to:

6. Retention
We keep account and service data while your account is active, and for as long as needed for subscriptions, security, and legal records. Payment records are also retained by our payments processor according to its policies.
7. Your choices
You can:
- Update your profile, channels, Pulse preferences, and voice in the dashboard
- Turn notifications off in the product or your browser
- Manage billing through the Stripe customer portal
- Use email/password and/or Google sign-in when the same verified email is used
Access or deletion. Email viewspaperapp@gmail.com from the address on your account. We will delete your account and associated data within 30 days, except information we must keep (for example completed payment records or records required by law). There is no in-app delete button today.
8. Children
Viewspaper is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International processing
We are based in Singapore. Your information may be processed in other countries by our service providers. Those providers apply their own security and transfer safeguards.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be posted on this page.
